Join Us for Second Saturday Simple Serve – July 12th, 2025!

Hey friends, our July 2025 Second Saturday Simple Serve Day is happening on July the 12th, 8a-noon, and we’d love for you to join us!

This month we're going to be working on TWO different projects in TWO different locations...both in Ohio, with one in Delhi and the other in New Richmond.

We’ll be helping 2 very deserving local families who just need some help getting some projects knocked out by our amazing volunteer teams.

The Delhi Project is all about doing some home/apartment contents removal and moving to a secondary location so lifting, carrying, loading, transporting by truck, and unloading. The lady that we will be helping is Dolores. "She is a retired nurse. Her health has been in decline for a few years now. She fell in her apartment a couple of months ago and couldn’t get up. She was sent to a rehab facility that is now becoming her permanent home. It is a one bedroom apartment." She's also the mom of one of our long standing MOD volunteers. He and his family have been faithfully volunteering over the past several years to help other and now it's our time to return the favor. We need 8-10 people to make this happen. If you have a pickup truck, van, or a trailer that would be super helpful. Start time will be 9am and the goal is to be finished by noon.

The New Richmond Project has us returning to our local veteran friend who's home was flooded back in April. We mucked out his first floor to dry it out and now he and his wife need help getting some deck stairs repaired/replaced that were impacted/damaged by the flood waters as well. This will require some skills and some tools and we have an experienced crew leader who will help make it all happen. This project needs 8-10 volunteers as well. This one will start at 8am and again the goal is to have everything completed by noon. Basic carpentry skills and tools will be helpful but not necessarily required.

Pray for a successful and safe project (take a few minutes)

Date: Saturday, July 12th 
Time: 9am - Noon for Delhi and 8am - Noon for New Richmond
Where: Delhi and New Richmond, OH (specific details with work site addresses will be shared once you sign up)

What to bring: Wear your work clothes / gloves / eye protection / ear protection / closed toe shoes / water bottle / camp chair for breaks and lunch / and basic carpentry tools if your signing up for the New Richmond stair project.

Coffee & donuts will be available as we get started. Pizza & sodas will be available when we finish. Please be on time and plan on staying for lunch as this is usually the time we get to spend with the homeowners.
