Second Saturday Simple Serve - May 2026

Each month we serve someone in need of help & hope around their home through simple maintenance, repair, cleanup, and build projects during the morning of the Second Saturday. Locations vary but they are all local to the Greater Cincinnati area (Tristate) where we are based. All skill sets are welcomed…from ZERO to professional. Due to equipment being used, we ask that you be 18+ years old to participate.

May 9th location and project will be at Jake & Kayla's house in Hamilton/Seven Mile, OH. They are the young couple who's home was majorly impacted by flash flood waters back in February. We have been there previously to help muck out all the wet, damaged, compromised components along with overall cleanup work and spraying moldicide.

This time we'll be back to begin the rebuild/repair process. Now that it's all dried out, we need to replace all the things that were removed such as insulation, drywall, electrical boxes, trim, doors, cabinets, vanities, flooring, etc. We also want to help offset the costs of these materials as they did NOT have flood insurance.  

We need 15-20 volunteers so please consider signing up and helping bring some more help & hope to this young couple as they work alongside us to return to some sense of normalcy as quickly as possible.

Time: 8am-1pm
Where: 186 E Ritter St, Seven Mile, OH 45062

What to bring: All you favorite tools for the above mentioned work along with anything else that will make your day enjoyable. Closed toed shoes/boots, gloves, eye & ear protection, water bottle, personal snacks, camp chair for breaks, etc.

We will have coffee & donuts to start the morning, something for lunch, along with bottled waters and gatorades in a cooler.
